TOUCHING CHAOS (Moscow, Russia)
“Touching Chaos” is an exhibition by Moscow artist Maria Agarkova, which opened in March 2017, and is curated by Natalia Sudova. It is devoted to physical and chemical processes, in a continuous movement giving birth to the beauty of nature, and the emerging contrast with static artificial man-made objects. The works are performed in a unique author's technique. To create the exhibition, Maria spent more than a year studying the interactions of acrylic paints, pastes and resins. As a result, acrylic paints in her paintings will pretend to be oil, then gouache, watercolor or pastel, or even moss, stone, graphite or pumice.
